There is a moment at the end of a gathering when the room grows quiet, the teacups sit abandoned, and imagination begins to rearrange the scene. The Tilted Porcelain Garden was born from that moment. The consciousness of the tea set animates a garden from its China pattern into a dream-like, conservatory/teatime scape at twilight.
In this collection, delicate porcelain vessels awaken, dancing, twisting, and springing themselves into an untamed botanical landscape. Teacups become pillars, petals spill beyond their boundaries, and winding stems infuse the space between object and organism. The result is a surrealist garden where the ordinary is granted a gentle personality of its own - elegant, curious, and slightly melancholy.
Handcrafted in watercolor, colored pencil, and pen & ink, the artwork is built upon a refined palette of dusty blues, soft lavender pinks, muted greens, cool-toned ivory, and pale gold. Cool grey undertones create a quiet sophistication, while the dark slate background offers dramatic contrast, allowing every bloom and porcelain detail to emerge with a luminous, almost angelic presence. Beneath the softness lies a subtle mystery, inviting a second look and delighting closer observation.
Inspired by antique teatime, heirloom porcelain, and the dreamlike logic of botanical surrealism, The Tilted Porcelain Garden balances romance with intrigue. It is whimsical without being childish, decorative without being predictable, and richly detailed without losing its sense of restraint.
Designed for premium home décor, gift, stationery, tabletop, and lifestyle collections, this series offers a fresh interpretation of florals - one that feels both ageless and serendipitous. It beckons viewers into a world where gardens grow from teapots, porcelain refuses to sit still, and beauty flourishes just beyond the edge of reality.

The Tilted Porcelain Garden™ — where teatime slips gently into a dream and blossoms into something beautifully just outside of reality.
Every collection/project starts exactly the same way with a system, every time. I have set parameters that involve key types of brainstorming for the planning stage.
The planning stage results in the curation of a themed mood board from which the palette(s), font style, collection name and direction with composed roughs to move onto the next phase.
People to say that creation does not happen in a straight line. I disagree slightly. A system of processes set in place and strategic disciplines guarantee results, every single time. Feeding the creative bank is a necessary discipline in my world. What is also unique is the depth of my design perspective for every piece - the why that was not yet considered by most.
All of the designs are curated from my handcrafted art, using an array of mediums. Most pieces are mixed media—my combo of choice is watercolor and colored pencil, often including pen & ink.
