Merry Mischief MM2500 - Where elegance meets impish delight.
Merry Mischief MM2500 is a whimsically sophisticated Christmas collection that reimagines the Nutcracker narrative through a fresh, playful lens. Each illustration is hand-rendered in pen and ink with marker, creating a vibrant storybook charm elevated by luxury-appropriate detailing and meticulous linework.
This series celebrates a spirited holiday world where magic is intentional and mischief is an art form:
A regal mouse king receives his cookie by paper airplane, crowned in personality and poise.
A sugarplum fairy crouches low, caught in that charged moment before her magic sets a scene alight.
A Nutcracker arrives suspended from a mini hot air balloon, soft goods and tabletop-ready in its theatrical storytelling.
A Christmas cracker bursts open with playful energy—treats, jokes, and visual wit included.
Supporting pieces feature airy gift-delivery balloons and two seamless repeats: star-scatter textures in crisp whites and blues, and candy-scatter prints in purple, pink, blue, and soft lime.
Together, these designs bring a modern sense of whimsy to traditional holiday motifs, crafted with the precision and polish expected in the high-end tablescape, home décor, and soft goods markets. Merry Mischief invites audiences into a world where color and character dance effortlessly—a joyful, elevated visual experience fit for luxury collections seeking playful elegance and narrative charm.

A study in elegance and edge, Rue St. captures the poise of a woman stepping into a soiree, her confidence as striking as her couture through handcrafted designs.
The hero illustration merges runway allure with vintage refinement—a piping-trimmed corset, ruffled neckline, and a cascade of fabric-covered buttons adorned by a chain belt and statement jewels. Her theatrical world extends through supporting motifs: an ornate fan mask, beaded and ribbon-trimmed, evoking a whisper of intrigue and masquerade.
Two seamless repeats balance the collection—a petite fleur-de-lis half-drop in both white and buttermilk, and a delicate scatter print recalling the grace of French vintage textiles.
Rendered in a restrained monochromatic palette accented by a whisper of buttermilk yellow, Rue St. is sophistication distilled—tailored for couture-inspired interiors, elevated giftware, and high-end fashion accessories.

Every collection/project starts exactly the same way with a system, every time. I have set parameters that involve key types of brainstorming for the planning stage.
The planning stage results in the curation of a themed mood board from which the palette(s), font style, collection name and direction with composed roughs to move onto the next phase.
People to say that creation does not happen in a straight line. I disagree slightly. A system of processes set in place and strategic disciplines guarantee results, every single time. Feeding the creative bank is a necessary discipline in my world. What is also unique is the depth of my design perspective for every piece - the why that was not yet considered by most.
All of the designs are curated from my handcrafted art, using an array of mediums. Most pieces are mixed media—my combo of choice is watercolor and colored pencil, often including pen & ink.
